Reflection 1/21-23

Although I missed class on Tuesday, what I got from the weekly readings was about how we as a nation has developed with cultural diversity. We as a whole are need to and should start learning how to communicate better with other cultures and not feel that they should learn how to speak English so that they can communicate with us. I feel that is very true because we need them before they need us. Also, the main thing that I learned is that we as nation over time started to become more individualism based as time progressed. This happened as more free souls started to have a voice with the public. I feel that, that is a good thing that our country started to progressive towards a individualistic mindset. However, this is all good but I feel this is where the government felt it was ok for them to control us more because we all are individuals in our right. Its almost like a teacher in a classroom, if her class does what she says she's happy and doesn't stress but when she gets a class with a personality it becomes stressful and needs to place more rules in place to keep her class in line.
